Shelves, and how far you can open each one
Most category guides tell you what is popular. This one tells you something the shopping pages leave out: for each shelf, the official standard that decides whether a return is still possible after you have had the thing in your hands for ten seconds.
These standards come from the special standards table on the OOTDBUY returns page. They are specific, and several of them catch people out, because the natural thing to do with a new pair of trainers is exactly the thing that ends the return. The same rules seen from the other direction, as actions rather than shelves, are on the page about getting stuck, and what an entry does and does not promise is on the spreadsheet page.

The shelves
Every link goes to the live category on our catalogue. Counts and selection move week to week, so treat the shelves as places rather than as inventory.
Sneakers and trainers
The biggest shelf on the spreadsheet, and the one where an entry photo tells you least about fit.

Sizing here follows the seller chart rather than any western standard, so the chart on the listing is the thing to read.

Print position and fabric weight vary between sellers of what looks like the same item.

Zip and pullover often sit under one name, so the title is doing work no filter can do.

Heavy and bulky, so this is where freight quotes stop being an afterthought.
Browse outerwear5 shelvesTrousers and shorts
Waist measurements on the seller chart are usually flat measurements, not body measurements.

Hardware and lining are what entry photos hide, so ask for those angles when the inspection photos come back.

Appearance is all a photo can carry. Anything about the movement is what the seller wrote, not what anyone checked.

Small and light, which makes them the usual filler in a consolidated parcel.
Browse eyewear and small accessories5 shelvesElectronics and audio
The category where the warehouse checks least and the seller description matters most.

Boxes are part of the product here, and boxes are also what the warehouse removes by default.

Cheap to add to a parcel, and the one group where a return is not on the table at all.

Ceramics and glass live here, and the official position on breakage is worth reading before you order.

Find whatever you are about to order in the list below. The wording is ours; the rule behind each one is on the official returns page.
| Shelf | Where it lives | What ends the return |
|---|---|---|
| Sneakers and trainers | sneakers | New trainers keep their return status only while the anti-counterfeit clasp is still attached and the shoes are fully usable. Cutting that clasp to try them on is the single most common way people take themselves out of scope. |
| Other footwear | leather-shoes | Same resalable condition rule as trainers. Soles that show wear read as used. |
| Tops and tees | t-shirt | Tags removed on your instruction take the item out of scope. That includes tags you asked the warehouse to cut. |
| Hoodies and knitwear | hoodie | Resalable condition, tags on. Washing anything ends the conversation. |
| Outerwear | jacket | Nothing category specific, but the parcel weight makes a return leg expensive enough to be worth thinking about first. |
| Trousers and shorts | pants | Resalable condition, tags on. |
| Bags | bags | Dust bags and cards count as accessories. Removing them on request takes the item out of scope. |
| Watches and jewellery | watches | Sealed packaging on boxed pieces has to stay intact. |
| Eyewear and small accessories | eyewear | Resalable condition. Protective film left on lenses helps. |
| Electronics and audio | electronics | The official standards ask that the network access permit is undamaged, that there is no water damage, and for cameras that the shutter has not been pressed more than twenty times. |
| Toys and figures | plush-toys | Tape and plastic seals must be intact, and BJD dolls cannot be unsealed at all. |
| Underwear and swimwear | underwear | Underwear, socks and leggings are on the official list of items the return and exchange guarantee does not cover. Buy these as if they are final. |
| Fragrance and personal care | perfume | One-off sealing has to remain intact. Once it is opened the item is outside the standards for return packing. |
| Home and lifestyle | home-lifestyle | Fragile goods have their own official page, and the compensation route depends on the line the parcel travelled on. |
Standards read from OOTDBUY, Returns and Refunds, special standards table, on 2026-08-06. The full table on that page is longer and covers categories this catalogue does not carry.

The official table this page is built from
Here it is as published. It is worth reading once before you need it, because the categories it excludes are not the ones most people would guess, and the condition rules are stricter than a western return policy.
The shelves where a return was never on the table
Some categories are excluded from the return and exchange guarantee entirely. It is not a quality judgement, it is a hygiene and resale rule, and it applies whatever condition the item arrives in.
Underwear, socks and leggings
Named on the official list of ineligible items. Order these as if the decision is final, because it is.
Food, adult products and second-hand goods
Also named on that list, along with newspapers and periodicals, subscribed books, and anything bought outside the Chinese mainland.
Custom-made and altered items
Tailored designs are ineligible, and so is anything whose packaging, tags or accessories were removed at your request.
Everything else, for five days
Provided the seller offers guaranteed returns on that listing, the goods are resalable as the seller requires, and stock-in was under 120 hours ago.
Category choice is also a freight decision
Freight is quoted on the parcel: its weight, the line and the destination. That makes the difference between shelves larger than the price difference between items on them. A jacket and a set of tees can leave the same seller and arrive at very different totals.
The practical version: light categories are what make a consolidated parcel worth assembling, and one bulky item is what decides whether it is worth sending at all. Neither of those is visible while you are browsing.
